Welcome to another Trust New Year

A sincere, happy, and extremely prosperous new year to all our loyal Trust members. In this the first “real“ week of this new year, 2008, its appropriate to pass on this greeting to you all, because as we know any Trust is only as strong as its membership, and that strength in our own membership has allowed us to undertake the work we do on your behalf.

As we take a minute to look back on 2007, again, we have achieved many things. Things like organising and running a number of social events, and having a presence at locally run functions. With your help we now have our first Hall of Fame, a real first for this football club. Our big project this year, and a highly successful one at that, was our book, Mission Impossible. A lasting and poignant record of only our second honour. Remember as well this is the ONLY such record, and in years to come will be a must have for Berwick fans. Both these initiatives, and more, are completely individual to us as a Trust and for this we are rightly proud.

Into another year and as usual it will be a busy one with many pronunciamento to be made. As you will be notified we have our AGM in March. This gives any member, so disposed, the chance to make their mark by joining the Society Board and play an active part. We are also closing in on our aim of getting our membership up to the next big target, that of having 200 members.

So, to close, and a personal hope, that of a complete bouleversement in the way our club is run, something I see as absolutely necessary and benefiting all with this club at heart. Having said that, have a great year, and I hope you achieve all your aims and remain a committed member of our Trust.

Keep the faith
Colin Pike
